PRNQCTL

Prints a test page, pauses or resumes a printer, and clears a printer queue.


Syntax

CSCRIPT PRNQCTL[.VBS] /?

CSCRIPT PRNQCTL[.VBS] -z -p printer_name [-s [remote_computer]] [-u user_name -w password]

CSCRIPT PRNQCTL[.VBS] -m -p printer_name [-s [remote_computer]] [-u user_name -w password]

CSCRIPT PRNQCTL[.VBS] -e -p printer_name [-s [remote_computer]] [-u user_name -w password]

CSCRIPT PRNQCTL[.VBS] -x -p printer_name [-s [remote_computer]] [-u user_name -w password]

Switches
/? (NTXP)
Displays help.
-e (NTXP)
Specifies that you want to print a test page.
-m (NTXP)
Specifies that you want to resume printing.
-p printer_name (NTXP)
Specifies, by name, the printer you want to cancel/pause/resume/test.
-s [remote_computer] (NTXP)
Specifies, by name, the remote computer to which the printer you want to cancel/pause/resume/test is attached. If you do not specify a computer, the printer attached to the local computer is paused.
-u user_name -w password (NTXP)
Specifies an account with permissions to connect by using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) services to the computer that hosts the printer on which you want to cancel/pause/resume/test printing. All members of the Administrators group for that computer have these permissions, but the permissions can also be granted to other users. If you do not specify an account, you must be logged on under an account with these permissions for the command to work.
-x (NTXP)
Specifies that you want to cancel all jobs spooled to a printer.
-z (NTXP)
Specifies that you want to pause printing.
