RMTSHARE

Share a folder or a printer on a remote or local server.


Syntax

RMTSHARE \\server[sharename][=[drive:path | printername /PRINTER] [[/USERS:number] | [/UNLIMITED]] [/REMARK:"text"] [/GRANT user:perm [...]] [/REMOVE user]

RMTSHARE \\server[sharename] /DELETE


Parameters
drive: (NT4)
Specifies the drive letter you assign to a shared directory.
path (NT4)
Specifies the name of the shared directory.
printername (NT4)
One or more printers (LPT1: through LPT9:) shared by sharename.
\\server (NT4)
Name of the computer controlling the shared resource. If the server contains blank characters, enclose the double backslash (\\) and the server in quotation marks (" "). The server may be from 1 to 15 characters long.
sharename (NT4)
The network name of the shared resource. Enclose paths that include spaces in double quotes.

Switches
/DELETE (NT4)
Breaks/Disconnects the specified connection to a shared resource.
/GRANT user:perm [...] (NT4)
You can include several /GRANTs in a single command-line.
/PRINTER (NT4)
Share printer port.
/REMARK:"text" (NT4)
Adds a descriptive comment about the resource. Enclose the text in quotation marks.
/REMOVE user (NT4)
Removes a user account from the user accounts database.
/UNLIMITED (NT4)
Specifies an unlimited number of users can simultaneously access the shared resource.
/USERS:number (NT4)
Sets the maximum number of users who can simultaneously access the shared resource.
