Shutdown the computer.

/? (NTXP)
Displays help.
/A (NT4)
Abort a system shutdown during the timeout period.
/C "message" (NT4)
Specifies a message to be displayed in the Message area of the System Shutdown window. You can use a maximum of 127 characters. You must enclose the message in quotation marks.
/D [U][P]:xx:yy (NTXP)
Lists the reason code for the shutdown.
u Indicates a user code. NTXP ONLY.
p Indicates a planned shutdown code.
xx Specifies the major reason code (0-255).
yy Specifies the minor reason code (0-65536).
/E (NT2003)
Enables you to document the reason for the unexpected shutdown on the target computer.
/F (NTXP)
Forces running applications to close without warning users in advance.
Caution: Using this switch might result in loss of unsaved data.
/H (NT2003)
Puts the local computer into hibernation, assuming that hibernation is enabled.
/I (NT2003)
Displays the Remote Shutdown Dialog box. Must be the first switch you type, and all other switches will be ignored.
/L (NT4)
Logs off the current user immediately, with no time-out period (a local shutdown).
/M [\\computer_name] (NT4)
Specifies the remote computer to shutdown.
/P (NT2003)
Turns off the local computer only (not a remote computer), with no time-out period or warning. If your computer does not support power off functionality, it will shut down when you use /P, but the power to the computer will remain on.
/R (NT4)
Reboot/restart after shutdown.
/S (NTXP)
Shuts down the local computer.
/T:nn (NT4)
Set the timer for system shutdown in seconds, default 20 seconds (30 seconds in NT2003).
/Y (NT4 ONLY)
Answer all questions with yes.
